▢ Grab your school supplies if you haven't already! Click here for lists by grade.
▢ Attend our Back to School Bash on August 3rd, 5:30-7:30pm at UPE playground
▢ Lunch accounts — SchoolCafé
Fund your student’s lunch account. SchoolCafé is the online portal to handle school lunch and breakfast payment options and see the school menu. Even if you child will bring his/her lunch, consider putting some money in this account, just in case they forget it.
▢ Follow Union Park Elementary PTA on Social Media
Our Union Park Elementary PTA Facebook page is the best way to stay up-to-date on all things Union Park Elementary.
▢ Get involved!
Register/Login — then join PTA!
Our PTA subscribes to Membership Toolkit —an online service that makes it easier to work together for the good of our students. (Registering is FREE for families!) Once you've updated your family information and privacy preferences, join the Union Park Elementary PTA for the current school year for $10 or check out one of our Membership bundles and score exclusive member spirit wear! Volunteering and meetings are ALWAYS optional. But we invite you to do both, and hope you will!
Already have a Membership Toolkit account (with another organization or from a previous year)? Use the same log-in here!
My Volunteer Interests & Skills — Volunteering at Union Park Elementary is largely coordinated through the PTA. We would LOVE to serve with you! Tell us how you would enjoy being involved at Union Park Elementary, and we will try to get you plugged in.
Watch D.O.G.S. & Room Parents — Definitely consider these when thinking of how you can get involved. Watch D.O.G.S. spend one day each year attending school with their student, setting a good example, and helping with various tasks. Room Parents work together with their child's teacher and with other volunteers in their grade to plan and execute parties, and helping the teacher with other tasks.
▢ Background Check
If you plan to enter our school for any reason (beyond the school office), you will need to request a background check from Denton ISD by completing a volunteer application. These need to be renewed each school year. Click here to complete and submit a volunteer application.
▢ The Pioneer Pipeline
If your child is enrolled at Union Park Elementary, you are already signed up for The Pioneer Pipeline — an email update sent by our principal. Make sure you read it for updates and important information.
▢ Attend "Meet the Teacher" with your child —
Tuesday August 9th 5-7pm. This year it will be separated by last name to make it a more enjoyable experience for everyone. Bring your school supplies, meet your child's teacher, introduce yourself to Union Park Elementary staff (including the art, music and PE teachers), get to know the PTA and get excited about school! Click here to see the date and times for "Meet the Teacher."
